Hit & Run: Musical Improv by Voodoo Comedy Playhouse

Based on the suggestion of a title from the audience, the performers of Hit and Run: Musical Improv created an unscripted hour-long Broadway-style comedy musical from scratch.  HNR featured live accompaniment, dancing, soaring ballads, and more emotional outbursts than Rent and Phantom Of The Opera combined.  Rated PG-13.  Dinner menu included a gourmet taco bar from Illegal Pete’s.

A benefit for the Erie-based non-profit, The Community Project, A Pint of Summer was a fun-filled evening of food, live music, games, and Oskar Blues beer. Live performances featured John Beacher and friends, Rebecca Abraxas,  and The Snuggles.

Boo! on Briggs Street

A Halloween Event for all Ages

The Town’s Trunk or Treat event moved downtown and expanded! Trunks were parked in the parking lots on the southeast corner of Wells and Briggs and the northeast corner of Moffat and Briggs in Erie. Fifteen of the downtown businesses participated in a Halloween storefront decorating contest. The winners were: Most Creative: Life Song Church of Erie; Best Theme: Flagship Properties; People’s Choice: Platypus Papers; and with 14 votes behind the winner, Honorable Mention: 24 Carrot Bistro. Boo! on Briggs Street also featured costume contests and a walking street performance by Phelyx the Mentalist. The night was capped off with a glow-in-the-dark dance party complete with a professional DJ and complimentary glow-in-the-dark giveaways for the kids.
